British Army Veterinary Corps
Victor Walter SMITH
Private (horse keeper)
Died 1 October 1915 · Aged 34
Unit discrepancy: The CWGC grave-registration list records Smith with the 24th Mobile Section; the printed cemetery register and current CWGC casualty record give the 24th Veterinary Hospital. These CWGC descriptions have not been reconciled. Neither establishes service at the later Gournay-en-Bray hospital, whose recorded formation in 1917 follows his death in 1915. That hospital association has been removed.
