Biography

Captain William Arthur Morrin was born in Petit Brule, Quebec, on 10 December 1861. He graduated from McGill University Montreal in 1895.

He arrived in France in February 1915 and was attached to the 18th Brigade of the Royal Field Artillery.

Captain Morrin was still attached to the 18th brigade when, on the night of 1 August 1918, he attempted to cross between a convoy of lorries and was fatally struck by one of the lorries. An inquest into Captain Morrin’s death put it down to an accident.

Captain Morrin was buried in Saint Sever Cemetery, France.
