Biography
Captain James Henry Turner Kenyon MRCVS was born in Manchester in 1867. He graduated from Edinburgh College in April 1874.
He practised in Derbyshire for 30 years before the outbreak of the war. Despite his age, he offered his services to the war effort and received a commission in the Veterinary Corps. He served at Aldershot, York, Bradford, and Leeds.
He became ill and was admitted to Leeds Hospital and returned home but died there on 29 September 1918. Captain Kenyon was given a full military funeral.
Captain Kenyon’s death notice appeared in The Veterinary Records dated October 19, 1918.
