Biography

Captain George Charles Taylor MRCVS was the son of Mr Charles Tayler of Nottingham. Taylor had a successful college career and, immediately upon receiving his diploma, joined the veterinary service, where he was sent to France within a fortnight.

He served his country for 2 1/2 years, and it was whilst working in an exposed place one day that a bomb from an aeroplane burst near him, wounding him severely. He fell into the arms of an officer friend and died in a few hours.

Captain Taylor’s death notice appeared in The Veterinary Record on February 1, 1919.
