Biography
Captain Frederick John Delanie was born in Emerson, Manitoba, Canada, on 5 December 1880. He graduated in 1902.
He went to France as a Lieutenant in 1914 with the Army Veterinary Corps and was attached to the Royal Field Artillery.
While serving in France he became ill and was but was sent back to France on recovery, but was again sent back home suffering from shell shock.
He became ill while on leave and was taken to the Western Tuberculous Sanatorium in Ontario. He died on 21 March 1918, from tuberculous.
Captain Delanie is buried in Toronto (Prospect) Cemetery.
