Captain Alfred Hoskin FRCVS was born at Liskeard, in Cornwall in 1891. He graduated from London College in 1913 and took his Fellowship as soon as possible. Joining the Army Veterinary Corps in October 1914, he obtained his Captaincy in due course, serving most of his Army career with the Expeditionary Force in France. He was seriously wounded on the 2nd of July 1917 and died two days later.
Captain Hoskin’s obituary appeared in the Veterinary Journal, and his death was also reported in The Veterinary Record on July 14, 1917.
